Problem Note 69023: IPC connection errors occur when you use drill-down, recalculate, or save functions in certain worksheets

DetailsAboutRate It

In SAS® Merchandise Planning, you might experience IPC connection errors when executing certain functions inside a worksheet. These functions include the following:

  • Drilling down on or expanding the Time dimension
  • Auto-recalculating after an edit of a Working Plan key performance indicator (KPI)
  • Recalculating a task or worksheet
  • Saving or submitting

If you review the peinst_#######_####_pe.log for the worksheet that had the IPC connection error, the last lines are similar to the following:

<LogMsg Type='Information' Uptime='87'>Begin HandleTimeBasedField<LogDetails File='CalcEngineImpl.cpp' Line='584' LocalTime='Mon Mar 21 10:54:16 2022' SystemTime='1647874456' /></LogMsg>

This issue is found when there are KPIs that use a fwdnxt() function in their calculation.

There are no workarounds.
